Heads up! this post was created when Microthemer was at version 5. The current version is 7. Some references to the interface may be out of date. Please check out the site here I am trying to target the following -: 1) Click the button “schedule an appointment” Microthemer is misbehaving and this will not do! ( said humorously of course!) I have managed to target / edit actually – but as soon as I edit it – the Popup disappears and it’s kinda hard to see the change visually. Once targeted with Microthemer – I then have to go in via another tab to see the change. Viewing the change within MT is not possible … |

Hey, Due to the click behaviour attached to the popup, I can see why it disappears when you make changes with Microthemer. One option that might help is detaching the site preview via: View > Detach preview. That feature is aimed at users working with two screens, but you might find it’s a slight improvement on checking style changes in another tab, because you won’t need to refresh the other tab to see the style changes. They will render in the other tab live. Cheers, |

Thanks Sebastian – any chance for a fix for this tricky problem? Or out of scope? |

Hey, Do you mean a fix that prevents the popup from closing when working with MT? If so, it’s not so much that it’s out of scope. Rather, MT can’t interfere with the popups JS behaviour. If the popup has been programmed to close when a click is registered outside of the popup, MT can’t stop that. I take it my detach preview suggestion didn’t help matters then? If you can send me access for the site I would be happy to experiment with other workarounds (see this handy plugin for providing access without sharing login details – send the special link via our secure contact form). Alternatively, if you need some help with the CSS I can offer some assistance there. Thanks, |

Sebastian, No need for help – have not tried detached view. I was just wondering whether the actual “problem” of targeting a Popup’s behaviour can be controlled via MT – you’ve already said that it cannot control that – currently – and that is fine. If it’s something that can be looked at ( in the future ) then great – if not – understand. |

Ah OK, yeah unfortunately nothing can the done at the MT end with this one. It just a technical limitation. Cheers, |
