AI Assistant – completely disable

How can I completely disable the AI Assistant so the right sidebar doesn’t keep switching to it? I’m finding it very annoying.

Hey Theresa,

Thanks for the feedback, I’m happy to add an option in the preferences to remove the AI Assistant.

Just so I know what’s going on here, could you explain if:

  1. You’re accidentally clicking the chatbot icon at the top right when you mean to click the settings?
  2. The AI assistant displays when switching between the preset Microthemer layouts (S, M, L, XL, XL2)?
  3. It pops up in some other way (possibly a bug)?

Thank you, Sebastian.

It is primarily when I change the layout size, but it was happening at other times as well, although I’m not sure exactly when. I have found that if I turn Dock AI right off in the Fine Tune Layout section it mostly stays out of the way for this session. I will just make that a part of my start-up routine and it shouldn’t be a big problem.

Hey Theresa,

Thanks for confirming. The AI was set to display when choosing the “L” or “XL2” layout preset.

I’ve added an option to the “Interface” section of the preferences for permanently disabling the AI panel. This will go out in the next release, I’m just midway through a new feature at the moment.

Thank you, Sebastian. Seeing how responsive you are on this forum is one of the reasons I chose Microthemer.
