Heads up! this post was created when Microthemer was at version 4. The current version is 7. Some references to the interface may be out of date.

Hi
If I first create a selector “Logo” like so div#wrapper-wo054baaab100b0c header.logo

Then I click the folder and select “Logo”
In the CSS Selector Code: text box I change the selector to something else. Like header.logo
And save. The next time I come back to edit the selector. It have reverted back to div#wrapper-wo054baaab100b0c header.logo

So the changes are not saving. Is this a known issue?

I have the latest 4.4.7 version

Hi
I now discovered that I can type in my own selector in the “Targeting” tab. And after “save” it selects the right element.

But it seems impossible to edit the saved selector in the “CSS Selector Code:” text box.

Hey Olle,

Unless you’re forgetting to click the green UPDATE SELECTOR button after modifying the CSS code for a selector, it sounds like a JavaScript error might be preventing MT from actioning the update. Would you mind sending me login details for your install via this secure contact form so that I can troubleshoot?

Ah ok. I have been hitting the disk icon.
But there is no such UPDATE SELECTOR button. Only a EDIT SELECTOR button. With in my opinion is a bit misleading. Since I can edit the selector without hitting the EDIT SELECTOR button. SAVE SELECTOR would be better.

Anyway it works now with the EDIT SELECTOR button. I can live with that 😉

EDIT SELECTOR – yes. Sorry I was going from memory. I’m glad it’s working now. And thanks for your feedback. If you made that mistake others probably have too. I will address that.
