Heads up! this post was created when Microthemer was at version 2. The current version is 7. Some references to the interface may be out of date. Hey, I’m trying Microthemer but am having a problem. I’m trying to add background color to just the body text links. However, when I’m in visual edit mode and double click on a body text link, it targets all types of links, including headers, tags and other stuff. Is there a way to filter down the choice to just at body text link? Thanks! |

Hey, There normally is, if you change the value in the Selector Wizard dropdown menu. However, this depends on the nature of the HTML that your particular WP Theme creates. If you watch the Selector Wizard video here you can learn how it works: https://themeover.com/support/microthemer-tutorials/ Failing that, if you could send me a link to your site I may be able to offer some advice. Many thanks for the prompt reply. I’ve tried the different options in the dropdown menu, but it seems that there is no choice for body links only. The URL is http://www.eskapisten.se and here is a link to a post with a link in the body text (below the sound cloud player): http://www.eskapisten.se/2013/11/28/vangelis-klonad/ Thanks again! |

Hey, Looking at your site it should be possible. I would’ve thought that one of the options in the selector dropdown says something like this:
That one should do it. Although the values in the dropdown menu will be a bit meaningless to you if you’re not familiar with CSS, if you just experiment with different values and observe how the highlighting changes you might be able to get the hang of targeting the things you want. If you don’t find an appropriate value in the menu like I suggested, create the selector anyway and then click the “Modify” link to the right of the selector and replace the code in the large textarea with the code I’ve referenced above. If you’re still stuck, feel free to write back here. Cheers, Sebastian |
