Hi,
When trying to activate MT, I’m getting the following error:
Microthemer activation failed – Access denied by Imunify360 bot-protection. IPs used for automation should be whitelisted

I’ve got a few plugins, but recently set up the site on Cloudflare.
Not sure what’s causing this. I’ve even tried Pausing Cloudflare, but that didn’t change anything.

Please help.

Hey,

This error probably means my web host’s firewall is blocking your IP address. If your IP is displayed below the Imunify360 message, could you send it to me via my contact form?

I can then ask Kinsta to temporarily remove the block so you can activate.

FYI, this normally happens if your IP address has a bad reputation, which can happen on shared web hosting if one or more customers is a bad actor. It’s worth raising a ticket with your web host about that, and it to rule out malware on any of the sites you manage.

Cheers,
Sebastian

P.S. if there is no IP address shown, please try activating with this version of Microthemer, which should show it (I may not have incorporated this update in the current release version of MT).

Thank you for getting back to me.
I’ll send IP details via the form.
