I’m taking my first steps in free version and wondering: How can I select only specific selectors (by holding CTRL) to create a custom rule? I only want to select this by clickling on those specific elements in inspector. When holding shifts it creates several rules. Would make so much sense if I hold CTRL it creates rule from all clicked elements….but it doesn’t. Thank you! |

Hey Pierre, Thanks for trying Microthemer. What you are referencing is the breadcrumb trail to the element from the top level html element down: html > body > #wrapper > #primary > .content-wrap > ul But it is not the CSS selector that Microthemer will use to target the element. To customise the default CSS selector, use the Targeting options. The following video explains where you can do this: https://themeover.com/selecting-elements/ I suspect #wrapper > ul will be in the list somewhere. Does that help at all? Cheers, P.S. holding Ctrl in Microthemer when clicking link elements means it will follow the links rather than selecting them for styling. |

Thanks for your fast reply! Yes, I’m referring to the breadcrumb. Sorry… I already checked out that video, but I can’t wrap my head around why it isn’t possible to create my own rule by selecting whatever I need. That would be very intuitive (from my point of view), and I wouldn’t have to go through a list with suggestions. Thanks! |

Oh I’m with you now. You mean you want to Ctrl click on the breadcrumbs. I misunderstood earlier. The shift behaviour only incidentally works when using the breadcrumbs. It’s mainly for selecting elements on the page (but is triggered regardless of how elements are selected, including the breadcrumbs). OK, I’m happy to add your suggestion to my Todo list. I see where you’re coming from. Cheers, |
