Button cannot be redesigned

Hi there,

I just downloaded microthemer (so I am using the last version) and I cannot redesign some buttons.

I am using a template made with the ultimatum framework and I follow all the steps here: https://themeover.com/redesign-button-using-microthemer/

But I cannot see ANY changes I make to the design (font, background, etc.).

Any idea how I can make it work? DOes it have to do with the framework I am using?
