Customizer issue after updating to wp 6.7

I have a customizer issue after updating to v6.7
The issue appears to be linked to the MicroThemer plugin.

When using GeneratePress theme v3.5.1:
If MicroThemer is activate, the customizer items are spaced very far apart.
If MicroThemer is deactivated the customizer appears normal.

This customizer issue does not happen if I switch to Astra.

Hey there,

Sorry to hear about this issue, and thanks for reporting it.

I wasn’t able to replicate the issue with just WP 6.7, GeneratePress, and Microthemer. So it may be an interaction with one of the other plugins you listed, or maybe even a browser addon. Would you mind providing temporary access details for the site (or a copy of the site) via my secure contact form? This plugin is helpful for providing access without sharing a password.

If I can see the issue when I login, it should be straightforward to identify where the CSS styles causing the strange spacing is coming from and then update Microthemer accordingly. If I can’t replicate the issue, that strongly hints at a browser addon.

Cheers,
Sebastian

Thanks for providing access. I’ve just fixed this in Microthemer version 7.3.1.9.

Microthemer was generating some output before the HTML tag in WordPress version 6.7, which put the browser into quirks mode with odd styling. I think this Customizer issue might crop up a fair bit until WP makes an update. I got the same issue when an old version of Twenty Twelve was generating some error output before the HTML tag.

Cheers,
Sebastian
