Microthemer 7.4 (beta) comes with an AI assistant to help you customise the design of your WordPress site and troubleshoot CSS issues. You can download this beta version from My Downloads. It is free to use during this beta period. The AI assistant can be accessed using the AI icon at the top right of the interface. It can be docked to the right via:
This is an early stage release. I have many improvements planned before going into production, and if you have any improvement requests, please use this thread. Also, if the AI assistant ever fails to complete an instruction, please hit the “thumbs down” icon in the AI chat. That will do two things:
I hope this AI assistant saves you some time, even in this current first draft stage. All the best, |

Tried just now, Version 7.4.0.2, no go. Ends at “Backing up workspace”, otherwise nothing happening, no thumbs showing up. |

Thanks for reporting this Ralf. The AI model waits for the settings to be backed up before making any changes. So if there is an error with the backup process, that would explain why it hangs. Could you let me know what browser you are using? Or even better, provide temporary access to a site with this issue via my secure contact form so I can troubleshoot this directly? Cheers, P.S. I’ve just noticed that the AI model is running a lot slower today, and sometimes fails. I might be hitting some rate limits. If so, I’ll bump it up. This might explain your issue, but I think it’s likely there is an problem with the backup process. |

Update – I’ve increased the rate limits and the model seems to be responding in around 2 seconds now, which is back to the usual speed. It was slow between 9am-12:15pm GMT on Dec 12th, 2024. If you’re still getting the backup error, that confirms I need to fix something in that feature. |

https://share.zight.com/rRudvb84 If I have to provide the exact selector, then clicking two more buttons to change a setting will take less time then thinking of a good prompt. I’d hope that the AI could also help to find correct selectors. |

I didn’t revert – just switched to another page within MT, then published again, and then it appeared in the frontend. |

Thanks for confirming Ralf. And for sharing your experience with animations and asset loading. I’m yet to provide the model with guidance on Microthemer’s system of applying animate.css animations, or how the folder logic system supports loading CSS on certain pages using conditions. So I’m not too surprised that some work will be needed in that area. I’ve also noticed that it isn’t great at generating CSS selectors though. I may need to implement a system where the AI model can offload that specific task to Microthemer where possible. Cheers, P.S. Could you check your “Error reporting” settings in MT via:
If you’ve unchecked everything the feedback icons won’t send any information (yes, there needs to an alert for that). |
